Shelly on the 2008 Pink Fire Truck Tour!
A pink fire truck, driven by Dave Graybill, traveled across the country for 64 days on a pink ribbon tour to raise money and awareness for women with breast cancer who are under-insured. The Phoenix-based crew of five stopped in 32 cities, putting 10,000 miles on the converted fire truck. When it stopped in Scottsdale, Breast Buds member Shelly Home boarded the truck and signed it on behalf of Breast Buds!

Ben & Jerry's sponsors Free Cone Day for Breast Buds!
It was a hot day in April and people were lined up outside the door at the 101 & 67th Ave. Ben & Jerry's store to get over 1,000 free cones and make donations to Breast Buds. The final count was $459.00. Many thanks to all who participated, especially the store owner, Corinna Rannells, and Mary Pat and Robert Healey for helping to organize the event. Their daughter Rebecca was there all day supporting the event, scooping cones, cleaning and counting scoops. It was a fun day of celebration, sharing and delicious ice cream treats!
Founder Returns to Board of Directors
We welcome Christine Faraci-Tivnan, our Founder, back to the Breast Buds Board of Directors! Christine began Breast Buds in 2004 to meet the increasing demands for individualized survivorship support services. Christine stepped down as President in 2006 in order to spend more time with her family and her new-found love of painting. We are happy to have her back as an active member of the board - she continues to infuse the organization with her high level support, vitality, inspiration, humor and love!
